ABORTION AND EUTHANASIA
A LOOK AT WHAT AL-QURAN SAYS ABOUT THESE MATTERS
A concordance to anti-abortion verses.
- S3 (2) There is no God but God, the living, the self-subsisting:
- S2(28) How is it that ye believe not in God? Since ye were dead, and he gave you life; he will hereafter cause you to die, and will again restore you to life; then shall ye return unto him.
- S3(6) it is he who formeth you in the wombs, as he pleaseth; there is no God but he, the mighty, the wise.
- S3 (27) Thou makest the night to succeed the day: thou bringest forth the living out of the dead, and thou bringest forth the dead out of the living; and providest food for whom thou wilt without measure.
- S35(12) God created you first of the dust, and afterwards of seed, and he hath made you man and wife. No female conceiveth or bringeth forth but with his knowledge. Nor is anything added unto the age of him whose life is prolonged, neither is anything diminished from his age, but the same is written in the book of God’s decrees. Verily this is easy with God.
- S39(8) He created you of one man, and afterwards out of him formed his wife; and he hath bestowed on you four pair of cattle. He formeth you in the wombs of your mothers, by several gradual formations, within three veils of darkness. This is God, your Lord: his is the kingdom: there is no God but he.
Observation
Females concieve, not males. Females are mothers, not males. Al-Quran is anti-abortion and against euthanasia. Obviously God desires that the dead be raised up.

- S15(19) We have also spread forth the earth, and thrown thereon stable mountains, and we have caused every kind of vegetable to spring forth in the same, according to a determinate weight: (20) and We have provided therein necessaries of life for you, and for him whom ye do not sustain. (21) There is no one thing but the storehouses thereof are in our hands; and we distribute not the same otherwise than in a determinate measure. (22) We also send the winds driving the pregnant clouds, and we send down from heaven water, whereof we give you to drink, and which ye keep not in store. (23) Verily We give life, and We put to death: and we are the heirs of all things.
- S16(72) God hath created you, and he will hereafter cause you to die: and some of you shall have his life prolonged to a decrepit age, so that he shall forget whatever he knew; for God is wise and powerful.
- S17(24) Thy Lord hath commanded that ye worship none besides him; and that ye show kindness unto your parents, whether the one of them, or both of them attain to old age with thee. Wherefore, say not unto them, Fie on you! neither reproach them, (25) but speak respectfully unto them, and submit to behave humbly towards them, out of tender affection, and say, O Lord, have mercy on them both, as they nursed me when I was little.
- S31 (13) We have commanded man concerning his parents (his mother carrieth him in her womb with weakness and faintness, and he is weaned in two years), saying, Be grateful unto me and to thy parents. Unto me shall all come to be judged.
- S47 (14) We have commanded man to show kindness to his parents: his mother beareth him in her womb with pain, and bringeth him forth with pain: and the space of his being carried in her womb, and of his weaning, is thirty months; until, when he attaineth his age of strength, and attaineth the age of forty years, he saith, O Lord, excite me, by thy inspiration, that I may be grateful for their favours, wherewith thou hast favoured me and my parents; and that I may work righteousness, which may please thee: and be gracious unto me in my issue; for I am turned unto thee, and am a Muslim.

The book of Psalms
Psalms 139: 13-18
For you formed my inmost being.
You knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I will give thanks to you,
for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Your works are wonderful.
My soul knows that very well.
My frame wasn’t hidden from you,
when I was made in secret,
woven together in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my body.
In your book they were all written,
the days that were ordained for me,
when as yet there were none of them.
How precious to me are your thoughts, God!
How vast is their sum!
If I would count them, they are more in number than the sand.
When I wake up, I am still with you.
The gospel of Luke 7
11 Soon afterwards, he went to a city called Nain. Many of his disciples, along with a great multitude, went with him. 12 Now when he came near to the gate of the city, behold, one who was dead was carried out, the only born son of his mother, and she was a widow. Many people of the city were with her. 13 When the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her and said to her, “Don’t cry.” 14 He came near and touched the coffin, and the bearers stood still. He said, “Young man, I tell you, arise!” 15 He who was dead sat up and began to speak. Then he gave him to his mother.
The book of Acts 3
Peter and John were going up into the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour. 2 A certain man who was lame from his mother’s womb was being carried, whom they laid daily at the door of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask gifts for the needy of those who entered into the temple. 3 Seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked to receive gifts for the needy. 4 Peter, fastening his eyes on him, with John, said, “Look at us.” 5 He listened to them, expecting to receive something from them. 6 But Peter said, “I have no silver or gold, but what I have, that I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk!” 7 He took him by the right hand and raised him up. Immediately his feet and his ankle bones received strength. 8 Leaping up, he stood and began to walk. He entered with them into the temple, walking, leaping, and praising God.
Observation
The Bible is anti-abortion and against euthanasia. These verses from Al-Quran and the Bible are self explanatory. A question that God may ask: Why does mankind think that it’s important to kill the living? Does mankind indeed reckon itself to have attained a status equal to that of the Creator?
Otzar Midrashim, The Creation of the Embryo 1:5
How does a newborn live in his mother's womb, folded and placed like a scroll, his head placed between his thighs, his two hands on his sides, and his two feet on his two heels, his mouth and all his nostrils closed, but his navel is open, from where the food comes out of what his mother eats and drinks, and he does not exhale from any nostril, for if an exhale were to come out of the nostrils, he would kill his mother.
But a lighted candle is placed on his head, and he watches and looks from the end of the world to its end, as it is said, "May my head be illuminated," etc. And do not be surprised, because just as a person sleeps here and sees a dream in the Aspamiya, and when he awakens from his sleep, he has nothing in his hand from what he sees, so is the law of a newborn, and since he goes out into the air of the world, the closed one is opened and the open one is closed.
And when the time came to leave, the Blessed One said to him, "My son, know that I created you and that I will hold you accountable. Be before the righteous and blameless, and do not be before the wicked. Even if they say of you, 'You are righteous,' be in your own eyes as the wicked, for even a simple conversation between a wife and her husband is recounted to him at the time of his death, as it is said, 'Behold, He who creates mountains and creates wind and tells man what he will talk about.' And because of all this, he does not leave there except until he swears, as it is said, 'By Me I have sworn,' says the Lord, 'A word shall come out of the mouth of righteousness and shall not return, for to Me every knee shall bow, this is the day of death, every tongue shall swear, this is the day of birth.'
And if you say to such-and-such a man, 'I have no wealth,' all his wealth is his, as it is said, 'The silver is mine, and the gold is mine,' says the Lord of hosts.'
And if you say, 'So-and-so is rich, and I am poor,' know that so-and-so is not worthy of two tables. If you have been blessed with wealth, do charity with it as long as it is in your hands, for it has wings and in the heavens it flourishes, as it is said, "Raise your eyes upon him, and he is not."
And if you say, "A certain man is a mighty man, and I am not a mighty man," he is not called a mighty man except in the Torah, as it is said, "The Lord blesses him; his angels are mighty in power, who do his word," etc. Let these words be on your heart, and know what is above.
Do not let your ears hear idle words that will make him hear the judgment of hell.
Do not set your eyes on wealth that is not yours and on a man's wife that is not yours, these matters overshadow him in pitch darkness, and do not speak slander that he will first enter into judgment, do not find robbery in your hand, all your limbs testify against you, do not let your feet precede you in speaking a transgression, lest the angels of death precede it, do not fear the court of the lower world, for your witnesses say that they are lovers of wealth
