S16(98) And when thou recitest the Qur'an, seek refuge in Allah from Satan the outcast”. Hence the primary requirement of a Muslim, before anything else, is to recite the Quran. But what of study? How should the Quran be studied? Does it allow for exegetical study? The short answer is negative. The following sura fifteen warns all Muslims to refrain from such studies. Sura 15 89 And say: Lo!
