Surat 34-Yet Another Tall Tale

Surat 34 is another of those incredibly tall tales.
This surat starts off with saying that Allah knows it all as in verses 1 and 2. And then it goes on to show that It knows less than nothing.
In an earlier surat 27 Solomon talked with birds and ants. Here the wind is obedient to him. Jinns work for him, implying of course that Solomon could converse with them. Disobedience was punishable by being burnt. And notice how he dies. Two quranic translations are quoted. The 2nd with it's commentary to show a muslim's understanding of the tale being considered. A biblical passage is quoted within the commentary to enhance its authenticity.
The stormy winds and waves were obedient to Jesus.
Another plagiarism by Muhammad just gone wrong. The mad man is called a prophet in surat 33(1). But what exactly is his prophecy? Nothing at all. Islam is futile deceit, not a religion.

Surat 34
In the Name of Allah
the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
1. All the praises and thanks be to Allah, to Whom belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. His is all the praises and thanks in the Hereafter, and He is the All-Wise, the All-Aware.

2. He knows that which goes into the earth and that which comes forth from it, and that which descends from the heaven and that which ascends to it. And He is the Most Merciful, the Oft-Forgiving

12. And to Solomon (We subjected) the wind, its morning (stride from sunrise till midnoon) was a month’s (journey) and its afternoon (stride from the midday decline of the sun to sunset) was a month’s (journey i.e. in one day he could travel two months’ journey). And We caused a fount of (molten) brass to flow for him, and there were jinn that worked in front of him, by the Leave of his Lord. And whosoever of them turned aside from Our Command, We shall cause him to taste of the torment of the blazing Fire.

13. They worked for him as he desired, (making) high rooms, images, basins as large as reservoirs, and (cooking) cauldrons fixed (in their places). “Work you, O family of Dawud (David), with thanks!” But few of My slaves are grateful.

14. Then when We decreed death for him [Sulaiman (Solomon)], nothing informed them (jinn) of his death except a little worm of the earth which kept (slowly) gnawing away at his stick. So when he fell down, the jinn saw clearly that if they had known the Unseen, they would not have stayed in the humiliating torment.

Surat 34
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
1 (All) praise is due to Allah, Whose is what is in the heavens and what is in the earth, and to Him is due (all) praise in the hereafter; and He is the Wise, the Aware.

2 He knows that which goes down into the earth and that which comes out of it, and that which comes down from the heaven and that which goes up to it; and He is the Merciful, the Forgiving.

12 And (We made) the wind (subservient) to Solomon, which made a month’s journey in the morning and a month’s journey in the evening, and We made an abundance of molten brass to flow out for him; and of the jinn there were those who worked before him by the command of his Lord; and whoever turned aside from Our command from among them, We made him taste of the chastisement of burning. #2027

13 They made for him what he pleased of fortresses and images, and bowls (large) as Watering- troughs and cooking pots that will not move from their place; give thanks, O family of David! and very few of My servants are grateful.

14 But when We decreed death, for him, naught showed them his death but a creature of the earth that ate away his staff; and when it fell down, the jinn came to know plainly that if they had known the unseen, they would not have tarried in abasing torment.

Mualana Muhammd's Commentary-
#2027 These jinn were no other than the strangers whom Solomon subjected to his rule and forced into service. See 2 Chron. 2:12-18: “And he set threescore and ten, thousand of them to he heelers of burdens, and fourscore thousand to be hewers in the mountains.”
Note that the jinn of this verse are the shayatin of 38: 37, where it is said that “We subjected tp Solomon the devils, every builder and diver,” where the shayatin or devils are explained by the Quran itself to be no others than the builders and divers whom Solomon had forced into labour.
In the first volume, Tabrezi in his commentary on Himasa remarks: “ Abu Ula nays the Arabs speak of the jinn frequently, likening a man who is clever in executing affairs to the jinni and the shaitan or devil, and hence they say his jinn is gone when they mean that he became weak and abased.” This explanation, along with that which the Qur-an itself affords, settles the question of the jinn and the devils employed by Solomon.

The Biblical Account
Matthew 8
23 When he got into a boat, his disciples followed him. 24 Behold, a violent storm came up on the sea, so much that the boat was covered with the waves; but he was asleep. 25 The disciples came to him and woke him up, saying, “Save us, Lord! We are dying!”

26 He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then he got up, rebuked the wind and the sea, and there was a great calm.

27 The men marveled, saying, “What kind of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”
